Dr Perkins graduated from University of Newcastle Upon Tyne medical school 1984. He completed training in dermatology in Glasgow and Southampton before fellowship training in skin cancer and micrographic (Mohs’) surgery at the University of Minnesota.
Consultant and lead for skin cancer at Nottingham University Hospitals until 2014 when he moved to Oxford University Hospitals to lead the Mohs’ service at the Churchill Hospital.
He has been on the specialist register since 1995. Dr Perkins has specialist interests in skin cancer, lasers and micrographic (Mohs’) surgery. He continues to see patients with the full range of skin diseases and has been involved in the development of treatment for both hyperhidrosis and cosmetic indications.
