Dr Andrej Salibi

Andrej Salibi is a highly-accomplished, fully qualified and accredited consultant plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeon on the General Medical Council specialist register.

Undertaking his specialist training in the North West he has acquired a broad experience not only in general plastic surgery, but also in skin oncology surgery whilst working and training at the Christie Hospital in Manchester, which is one of the largest oncology hospitals in the UK and Europe. He completed a Master’s degree with distinction from Queen Mary University of London. He was one of few plastic surgeons to be awarded two highly prestigious fellowships to complement his specialist training.

Alongside his private practice, he also holds important NHS position as a consultant plastic and reconstruction surgeon at Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS hospitals. His main role in the NHS involves managing patients with skin cancer alongside his dermatology colleagues, in addition to providing the surgical treatment and reconstruction of skin cancers as well as other benign skin and soft tissue tumours. He is a member of the local skin multidisciplinary team (LSMDT), which is dedicated to discuss difficult malignant and non malignant skin conditions and provide surgical or medical evidence based treatments.

With a wealth of clinical experience together with a research background Mr Salibi presents nationally and internationally as well as contributing to the plastic surgery literature with over 30 publications and research articles. He is a recipient of multiple awards and prizes from the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) and the British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH). His commitment to teaching and training the next generation of plastic surgeons is highlighted in his book, Secrets of Plastic Surgery ST3 Interviews, which was published to aid junior doctors in their pursuit for a plastic surgery career. He is also an organiser and a faculty member of a number of national courses.
